REVIEW: The evil beneath loch ness – Chosen by Ant

Plot overview:

Professor Gus Egan and his team of scientists are exploring the depths of Scotland's mysterious Loch Ness to prove his theory that it was once a prehistoric breeding ground for ancient marine reptiles. Suddenly a fault-line ruptures deep below the surface of the Loch and Gus disappears in an underwater earthquake. Unbeknownst to the team, the rupture has reopened a passageway to the depths of the North Sea and given new life to the most fabled creature ever known to man - the legendary Loch Ness monster.

Review:

Have you ever baked a cake when all the ingredients were just right; fine gourmet ingredients hand picked to make the perfect cake, but once baked it turned out to be a total pile of shit. This is just as Loch Ness is; the film has the FINEST of ingredients, SHOCKING yanks trying Scottish accents, 1% of the film actually filmed in Scotland (most was filmed in LA), horrendous acting, terrible and hilarious CGI special effects and an utterly ludicrous plot. But somehow the film just doesn’t hook you in the way it should, with those ingredients you should have had 87 minutes of pure heaven, but it was a little more like an 87 minute trip to Bognor Regis in the winter with a bunch of annoying yanks. Not that’s it’s a bad shit film, its just not as good as it should have been judging by its ‘ingredients’.
