Review

Dribbling Drago drags Roddy Piper into the mire in a nonsensical sci-fi “thriller”.

Sci-fighters is a disastrous piece of film making as it features great chunks of footage from Billy Drago’s video diary. Drago seems to be suffering from some disgusting illness that tunes his already disturbing physical form up to intestine exploding strength. What’s even more stomach mincing is the fact he spreads his scabby plague by raping women! Please no, tell me it’s not true! But it is.
Roddy Piper sadly puts in one of his weakest performances as Grayson. Grayson is on the trail of Dunn (Billy Drago) who has the afore mentioned illness. By contrived coincidence Dunn was previously the perpetrator of the rape and murder of Grayson’s wife. Grayson also has to work with a doctor who is the exact double of his dead wife only with a different hair do. That’s a pretty believable coincidence if ever I came across one. The film is a plodding mess of a Bladerunner derivative. Only the appalling bacofoil costumes and pathetic neon effects on the buildings are worthy of mention.

Simply foul.
