Review: Riot chosen by Rudi

Starring: 50% Sugar Ray Leonard, 50% Pat Kilpat, Gary “Shane” Daniels, Some other losers

Director: Can’t remember off hand

Year: All too recently

Theme: Oirish Accents

Plot synopsis:

On Christmas Eve, 1999, full-scale rioting breaks out on the streets, and thugs from an IRA front kidnap the British Ambassador's daughter. A top-notch British Secret Service Agent--who's also a martial arts expert--is called in to rescue the innocent hostage.

Review:

Riot brings the awesome talent of Sugar Ray Leonard to the world of shit films. It also showcases the mimicking talents of Pat Kilpat performing his world famous oirish accent. Unfortunately the makers couldn’t afford to have both on screen at once. So, in the first half of the movie you get the hard hitting Sugar Ray, and just as his character is being mercifully killed off, Pat Kilpat appears resplendent in fake moustache.
Gary Daniels is the real star though displaying all the talent of o’harper with his brilliant English accent which seems to originate from a region no further north than Melbourne. There’s nothing else I can be bothered to say about this film, it’s a pathetic action film with no merit.
